RiverView Health has an opening for a full-time (80 hours every 2 weeks) Maintenance III Technician. The Technician will operate boilers, repair plumbing, electrical, mechanical, building, grounds, equipment, food service equipment, office equipment, heating and cooling equipment, and any other duties as assigned. This position is responsible for the operation, safety, maintenance, and day to day repairs of the physical plant as well as the building and grounds. Responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants of the buildings. Other responsibilities include regular preventative maintenance tasks as well as code required compliance activities such as fire drills, fire systems testing, generator testing, etc. The Technician will supervise the Maintenance Technician II as assigned by the Director. Position does involve working rotating call shifts.
Applicants are required to have a State of Minnesota 1st class B boilers license. A State of Minnesota Chief Boiler Operator's license is preferred.
Applicants are required to have demonstrated skills in all aspects of building maintenance. This includes: HVAC, electrical device replacement and troubleshooting, appliance repair, control system diagnosis, pneumatic control systems, a general understanding of the communication systems including adding new devices and lines when necessary and moving extensions to various locations in the facility. Plumbing troubleshooting and repair. Knowledge of carpentry is required for wall repair, ceiling repair, wall construction, demolition, cabinetry construction, etc. Understanding and required testing of all the fire systems in the building. A general understanding of the elevators. The ability to operate the emergency generator and understand the required testing and that the unit must be ready for use at all times.
Preferred applicants will have 5 to 10 years experience doing maintenance and repair in an industrial facility and understanding or computerized maintenance management software.
