Red River Behavioral Health is a new psychiatric hospital in Grand Forks. We're building our staff and looking for NOC shift Nursing Supervisor.

Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure.
Supervisory experience in a team leader role with a minimum of one-year psychiatric experience.
Work experience as a professional nurse.
In This Role You Will:
Work with Chief Nursing Officer to determine the optimal allocation of staff, per shift on each unit.
Coordinate the care of residents/clients on assigned shift. Communicates shifts concerns by unit to appropriate staff (via e-mails, voice mail, etc.).
Receive report from off-going supervisor (staffing and resident concerns) and gives report to oncoming supervisor.
Serve as administrative authority for the smooth function of all units on assigned shift. Notifies administrator, associate administrator, or manager of urgent concerns during the shift. When the concern is non-urgent, notifies manager by phone message or e-mail. Keeps associate administrator informed of the needs and problems on a particular shift or unit.
Receive employee, resident and family grievances. Refers information to appropriate supervisor.
Assist RNs in completing risk assessments and investigations of injury.
Assist with annual budget preparation by identifying supply and equipment needs.
Counsel personnel, as indicated. Completes appropriate documentation and communicates with Head Nurse.
Work with the staffing schedule and nurse managers to assure that vacancies are filled in advance.
Mandate, as needed, following mandation rules. Records mandations.
Provide clinical expertise in the management of medical and psychiatric emergencies.
Respond to all emergency situations. Assists staff, as needed.
Audit charts routinely. Provides clinical expertise in documentation, including acute illness charting, weekly summaries and care planning.
Assist with the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Serve and/or leads committees, as assigned, including, but not limited to, quality assurance, infection control, safety, etc.
